Escape from the normal look and add a splash of color! Each timepiece changes the vibrant display colors as if imaginary paint brushes were continuously sweeping across with very slow, random, curvy strokes causing the brush color to blend with the existing color beneath it. Each digital segment is carved into a solid wood face. They are then filled with a hard translucent material and finished flush against the wood surface. General Features:
I find it difficult to photograph brilliant LED color because the illumination is exceptionally bright compared to the dimmer wood surface. LED light tends to saturate CCD camera sensors causing the color to wash out. I have found that the reflection of LED light from a black mirror better represents the true color that your eyes see, so I often use black mirrors when photographing these timepieces.
This series gets its name because of the curved nature of the designs. Convex shapes form the front and back sides. Tangent arcs and curves form all of the other features such that there are no straight lines anywhere except for the flat velvet-lined bottom.
